When using a Safari web app, extensions are not available, but you can easily switch to Safari: Click the Share button, then choose Open in Safari. By default, extensions are turned off for each new profile. Extensions for other profiles are managed in the Profiles tab, which has its own Extensions tab for each profile. When using Safari profiles, extensions for the default profile are managed in the main Extensions tab of Safari settings. Launch Safari and go to its settings (CMD+,). Since the macOS 10.15 update, Safari extensions are located in the Applications folder, and this means you have to take extra steps to remove extensions. Each extension has its own box on the Extensions tab. From there you can allow access, deny access, or require that websites ask you for access. How to remove Safari extensions on macOS 10.15. This would be really nice except that there is no "Reset Safari" selection anywhere in Safari or anywhere else on the computer - I've spent over a week looking.When browsing in a private window in macOS Sonoma or later, all extensions that require website access are turned off by default. This is supposed to get rid of all Extension, Plug-ins, delete all history, delete all cached data, delete all cookies, etc. I think the manual removal instructions were written a previous version of OS X, not High Sierra which is what I have. One of the manual removal instructions, which I had already read, somewhere send us to windows where the commands and selections that the instructions specify simply do not exist. Now, if you want to find and add Safari extensions, you only really have one choicethe Mac App Store. ![]() This helps Apple to keep users safe from rogue extensions, but it also means a lot of old extensions aren’t available anymore. I would keep the new Administrator account and delete the old one except that would mean losing all of my saved emails Apple overhauled the Safari extensions system a few years ago, discontinuing the Safari Extensions Gallery. The one thing that did happen was that when I logged in as the new administrator and used Safari, the Bing redirect did NOT happen. Neither were Parental Controls enabled when I logged in as the previous, original administrator. ![]() To disable: Preferences > Extensions, remove the check mark. I logged in as the new administrator, but Parental Controls were NOT enabled. Access an extension via its Safari Toolbar icon. I did as directed and created a new Administrator account.
